A couple weeks ago we were able to get a tour of Thistle Springs Ranch before construction began. It was my first time to experience the Ranch during the spring and it was breathtaking. The spring flowers, green trees, and peaceful sunsets over the waterfront remind me of why spring is such a wonderful season for weddings.
When John and Ann showed us the plans for Thistle Springs Ranch and explained their vision for this venue I got really excited and then a little sad because it was two years too late for me! In all my wedding planning (blogs, magazines, websites), I fell in love with the idea of an outdoor wedding with the romantic barn reception but could not find a venue in the DFW metroplex that fit my vision. I know that with Ann’s background in design and John’s experience in building this venue is going to be stunning.
Construction is underway and I will be posting progress pictures of the barn and site so you can see the area be transformed into a beautiful wedding venue. For now here are some of the pictures we took during our time at the Ranch. I think the yellow flowers are my favorite but I might be partial since yellow was one of my wedding colors!
