Welcome to Thistle Springs Ranch, the destination for your special occasion. Set amidst the native wildflowers, lush cedars, and roaming thistles of Central Texas, Thistle Springs Ranch has been a part of our family for decades. It is our wish to share this iconic Texas landscape with you for your next milestone. Whether the backdrop is our antique windmill, historic dairy barn, roaming horses, or our sunsets over the lake, Thistle Springs creates an ideal setting to make your wedding dreams a reality. Our vintage, provincial barn constructed of reclaimed barnwood, antiqued tin, and classic elements will create the perfect ambiance for your guests. The open floor plan, garden areas, and stunning vistas allow it to transform into your perfect venue. The setting is sublime, the scenery is pristine, and all that is missing in this memory is you.
Thistle Springs was the first venue we looked at and we looked at A LOT! We knew right away that it was the place we wanted to celebrate our marriage!

Gorgeous venue, the representative that was present the day of our wedding (Chris) was extremely helpful the entire day…

As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the chance to visit quite a few rustic venues in the area and I absolutely LOVED this one! The layout is amazing…
Married for over 38 years, we have seen God use our ranch to be the home for innumerable special memories. Our desire is to provide a quality facility near the DFW metroplex, while maintaining the peace and beauty of the natural countryside acreage. The venue has been designed to be flexible enough to host a Texas sized wedding and reception, but also able to scale down for smaller more intimate sized parties.
Thistle Springs Ranch has been designed to have a true vintage provincial feel inside and out, but built with a great respect for our environment using green principles. Texas weather dictates well-engineered interior climate control in our extreme temperatures. Our landscape architect’s master plan was created to provide choices in exterior ceremony sites in addition to directing flow of guest traffic by naturally utilizing different property features.
